Jasna Nadles

Graduated with honours at the Ljubljana Academy of Music in 1996. She continued her studies at the Salzburg Mozarteum, in the class of professor Irena Grafenauer and in Paris with professor Gilles Burgos. In 2000 she worked with Jeanne Baxtresser at the Juilliard School of Music in New York. She is currently perfecting her skills on the traverso flute with Stefano Bet.

Il Terzo suono

Jasna Nadles is a founding member of the baroque ensemble „Il Terzo Suono”, whose artistic director is bassoonist Sergio Azzolini. She cooperated with the Deutsche Kammerakademie in Neuss as a guest flautist. Currently she is working with No borders orchestra as solo flute with whom they released CD for Deutsche Grammophone in March 2015. NBO is currently touring the world with Third World Bunfight’s touring production of Macbeth which is set in the turbulent Republic of Congo. This award winning production directed by Brett Bailey has been presented in numerous international festivals and theatres; Vienna Festwochen, London’s Barbican, Brisbane Festival, Australia Festival d’automne, Paris, Operadagen, Rotterdam, , Kunsten Festival des Arts, Brussels, Opening festival of the Asian Culture Complex, Gwangju, Korea and many others.

Tartini festival

Since 2002 Jasna has been the artistic director of the Tartini Festival in Piran www.tartinifestival.org and in various chamber ensembles. She has worked with many noted musicians, such as Sergio Azzolini, Christophe Coin, Giuliano Carmignola, Vladimir Mendelssohn and others. As a soloist with the Radio Slovenia symphonic orchestra she recorded several flute and orchestral concerts (Mozart, Jolivet, Kantušer). In 1998 she received a honorary medal at the international flautist competition Maria Canals in Barcelona. As a soloist and chamber musician, she has performed at many notable festivals like: Ravello festival, Carintische sommer, Veneto festival, Emiglia Romagna festival, Gower festival, BEMUS and many others. She also taught at the summer Academy for orchestral performing Camp Styria in Austria, Graz.

Jasna is also accomplished music teacher having previously been professor of flute at the Ljubljana conservatoire of music and ballet until 2012.
